Dell Crystal Monitor
I love my Macs as much as anyone, and applaud their design and innovation. However there are others out there doing good work as well, case-in-point Dell’s new Crystal Display unveiled at CES. Really nice overall design, I haven’t dug into specs or any other info, but on the surface I like the anti-brushed aluminum approach. Curious to see how it’s received.
Well, it is beautiful (is it mirrored?).
It almost seems inspired by iMac (classic) mac design, when they were selling the clear plastic pod-speakers and the dome-shaped subwoofer that you wouldn’t mind having on your desk.
I like the consolidation of wires and the light feeling of it all, but I want more than 22″ from my monitors these days.
It’s also not easy to do a multi-monitor setup with these (not that I like that), because the bezel is a couple of inches.
